Online Niche Dominance
Ranking high is one thing, keeping this position is yet another. Web sites compete for top ranking on a daily basis and there are only two ways to stay on top: (1) your competitors take a lifelong vacation, or (2) you will have to constantly improve your web site in order to dominate your niche market. This would require, literally, daily maintenance and update on your site and monitoring the market as well as your competitors. The key element here is to become a recognized and respected member of the online community and the method you are going to use is: publish yourself!
Niche
But first, you need to generate an image through your web site that will be the basis of building your brand identity. A positive an appealing image is an important key to maintain customer loyalty. Next, you are going to hit the business directories and list your company in as many places as you can. These directories allow you to have a permanent presence on the web and to promote your business via images, videos, text, links, etc. This is the good news. Now the bad news: you are in open waters and your clients can create a major storm that can sink your ship.
Building links to your site is considered the holy grail of marketing on the web. Since search engines rank your site based on how many votes (links) you have, collecting quality links to your site is your number one priority. The best way to build links is organic linking, i.e. others discover your site, value the content and link back to you without being asked or exchanging links. Another technique is called social bookmarking, a form of publishing your content. By submitting your site, image or article to these sites, readers will comment on it and the top submissions are featured and receive traffic. Again, this is open waters and angry clients can rock your boat. Article marketing is by far the best method to promote your site, build credibility and educate your clients through the many papers you will write. In principle, it is a simple process: you write an article and submit it to one of the many online article directories. If readers find it interesting, they visit your site, comments on the paper, or may become future clients. The difficult part of it, of course, is finding the right topic and producing a professional paper with relevant content. This is where the boys are separated from the men: you need to be a prolific writer to make a lasting impression and to dominate your niche. Anybody can write something, however, we are in build your authority territory where stuff written by novice writers will not do.
