Internet Marketing
Marketing your products and services on the web is the smartest thing a business owner can do in the era of the Internet. Already two thirds of the world's population has a smart/mobile phone and is connected to the world-wide web. We all search the mysterious web for information, products and services and expect the engines to deliver the results we had in mind even if we are far from being computer geeks. This is a tremendous challenge for the search engines and for you as the user of search engine marketing (SEM) technologies.
SEM
SEM starts, relies upon and ends with search engines
so the very first thing to do is to decipher the secret code hidden inside those engines. That is, you need to make sure your clients can see you. In the era of the Internet you no longer find your clients, they find you and if they cannot see you on the top of the result pages, you do not exist. A picture is worth a thousand words, so they say, and a video is worth a thousand pictures.
The next thing to do is to create a video of your company and its products and services for what is termed as video search marketing. Video is searched just as well as your web site, in fact, the two searches are combined under the same hood. A thirty second or so video can create a better impression than reading a hundred page web site, not to mention that visitors to your site have very short attention spans and they would rather watch an online video then digging through your page archive. Even though the web is a global entity, you need to penetrate local markets. The web is like shooting at a flock of birds with a shotgun; you may not hit anything. It is better to aim at each bird individually. Next, come mobile devices calling for a largely untapped mobile marketing paradigm. The device is small and is significantly slower than your laptop so new technologies are required to deliver your message. The glue that keeps all the above techniques together is content management. It is like the commercial that makes you change the channel and the one you talk about at work. Content is still king and is likely to rule for the end of time. Search technologies change all the time, e.g. years ago there was no video or image search, only text. The future looks very interesting with capabilities such as voice recognitions, meaning based search, i.e. social media data mining, knowledge based search, shape and image similarity, etc. The driving force here is to support user intent; instead of the search engines forcing the user to think algorithmically, the algorithms will have to process a ton of data to figure out what was the intent of the user. In the computing world engineering has been driving design, now it is time to listen to the user and create machines that are driven by the users.

Using search is a smart choice for any business. Please contact us to see how we can help you with SEM technologies.
